This year’s donation included 450 hot roasted chickens prepared by Costco in a pre-dawn order arranged by MG2 Architecture. Deli manager Rachelle Hedington said staff begin cooking at 4 a.m. so the order is ready for volunteers to pick up by 9 a.m.

The MG2 Foundation awarded a $250,000 grant to Dr. Janice Kim, and the Fred Hutch Cancer Center on Oct. 23, to advance breast cancer research. The funding will support Dr. Kim’s upcoming clinical trial, which aims to improve the way physicians deliver concurrent chemotherapy and enhance outcomes for high-risk patients.

City of Bellevue Hosting Exhibit Honoring Black History Month

The city of Bellevue announced this week that, in honor of Black History Month in February, it will be exhibiting a public art display featuring the work of 17 Pacific Northwest-based Black artists.

The “Elevating Voices” exhibit was made possible through a partnership from the city, the Seattle architecture and design firm MG2, and the Onyx Fine Arts Collective, plus sponsors Wells Fargo, Cloudvue, and Ezell’s Famous Chicken.
